Meet Your Installation Trainers
Dustin Gonzalez (Charleston, SC)
Dustin started tinting in 2002, focusing on windows for homes, offices, and boats. It wasn’t until 2005 that he began tinting automobiles. A few years later, Dustin learned to install paint protection film and became an installation trainer for a film pattern software company. It was there that he developed a passion for training and mentoring trainees as they embarked on a new career path. Dustin joined IDS Automotive in 2023 as its lead trainer. When asked about his favorite aspect of training, Dustin replied, “I am still in contact with people that I trained years ago and have built many wonderful relationships”.
Automotive Protection Academy (Modesto, CA)
IDS Automotive has partnered with Automotive Protection Academy (APA) of Modesto, CA to provide hands-on installation training classes for Global Paint Protection Film and IDS Automotive Window Tint.
Automotive Protection Academy’s certified installers have more than 30 years of industry experience installing various automotive and architectural films. Their state-of-the-art facility means that trainees are in a well-lit, climate-controlled, and comfortable environment that is conducive to learning a new craft.
