I had the pleasure of meeting David Groff in 1994. I attended one of the first Belbien training seminars in the United States. Since then, David has trained and certified several of our technicians for architectural films installation. Over the years, I have turned to him for guidance on projects that consisted of difficult installation or had incorrect substrates and special substrate preparation. As architectural films have evolved, at times architects would specify these films on projects that are not consistent with traditional applications. David would guide us through the project, showing us new techniques that were necessary to successfully execute the installation. Because of the changes in the industry over the past 25 years, I have attended a few of his training seminars just to make sure we are not missing out on any new techniques. In every seminar I attended, I learned important new techniques that have proven to be helpful in real-life installations.
