Your Glass Can Yield Additional Value

As the amount of interior glass used in modern commercial space increases, so does the need for privacy, especially in private offices and conference rooms. Interior glass also provides real estate that can be used to promote a company’s brand. Images, logos, advertisements, and many other stationary visualizations are used to reinforce a brand’s message to stakeholders and shareholders alike.

One disadvantage of clear glass is that it poses a threat to human safety due to impact, which is why many jurisdictions require the use of distraction markers. Distraction markers make clear glass more visible, thereby alerting passersby to the presence of glass to avoid walking into it.

The only limitation to what you can represent on glass is your imagination.

Placing any visualization (distraction markers, images, logos, advertisements, etc.) on glass requires high-quality printing on an optically clear film that is then installed on the glass. The quality of the finished product depends on the artwork, printer, film, and installation.

We offer both polyester and vinyl optically clear films manufactured by General Formulations for printable use. They are abrasion-resistant and can withstand routine wear and tear without compromising design or appearance. In some situations, polyester may be the best film. In other cases, vinyl is the better choice.

The general differences between vinyl and polyester films are:

  • Polyester is easier to handle and install
  • Polyester is easier to remove
  • Vinyl is easier to cut into custom designs (preferred for distraction markers)
